Medical Marijuana Is Now

Let me start off by saying, if this offends anyone in any manner, DEAL WITH IT! Here in the great state of Georgia (Ha Ha!), we have some of the strictest laws on Marijuana in these little "hick" towns. Some places, you can go to jail and ruin your record for no less than seven years on possession of a marijuana roach. I don't know about you, but I am tired of these laws. I am tired of "Bubba Jenkins" who's a sheriff's deputy making a couple extra grand a month off of the safe trip of marijuana into the county. Come on politicians. I'm in no way asking for legalization but my God give the people something we NEED. Marijuana has been researched to death and is still undergoing rigorous studies for medicinal purposes. What more proof do you need? I myself, suffer from Degenerative Disc Disease. I have a bad lower back. For over 1 year I was addicted to narcotic pain relievers and anti-depressants. I dropped every pharmaceutical drug cold turkey and picked up cannabis for medicinal purposes ONLY, not recreational use. Ever since then, I am fine. No need for any kind of pharmaceutical drug with serious side effects. I am aware of what I am putting into my body, and the LESSER side effects of it. Now, if that isn't a good example, here's one. My wife was diagnosed with Chron's Disease and IBS when she was 11 years old. Now 24, I go with her to every doctors appointment and every medical infusion. Before she researched cannabis for medicinal purposes, she had never touched it. She was on more than 16 different kind of medications daily to help cope with a disease that doctors are still figuring out. Today, (3/25/2010) was the final straw for me. After seeing her puke her guts out and flushing of the face, because of a allergic reaction to her Imflaxib (Remicaide), I decided it's time to get what patients need in this state. Amongst the 15 states that have enacted a medical marijuana law, on every ailment requirement list Chron's Disease is in the top five. Now, after going to these GI doctors and seeing the patients there, my wife is somewhat out of place. They are mostly 50 and up year old citizens. I know most of them could careless about Marijuana, because back in the 1930's the Goverment made it out to be this horrible, horrible thing, they got scared and do not believe and want no part of it. Well, my wife being of a younger, newer generation where the truths are being found, has found the one thing that helps her the most with the cards God has dealt her. By enacting some kind of Medical Marijuana law in the state, would not only care to the patients who really need the medication, but could also add some profit to the economy. There are people in this state like me and my wife who rely on Cannabis to ease our medical conditions. I could bore you with statistics and research findings, but I'm not going to. You can google just like I did. You can educate yourself just like I did. And no one can argue that it is a sin to smoke, ingest or whatever you choose to do with marijuana.

God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Gen. 1:29-31)

(Jesus:) "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." (Matt. 15:11)

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,...speaking lies in hypocrisy..., and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." (1 Timothy 4:1-3)

There's some verses. Come on guys, why must you be so blind? Why can't you decide to do this? Why not hire a team of your own researchers to find material to educate yourself and see for yourself. Marijuana is the safest medication for me. God created every living thing, and a plant is living the last time I checked.

Sincerely,

Mr. New Green Thumb

Some more rants...

Think about it, alot of people smoke marijuana. There are ALOT of farmers in Georgia. Like I have heard before, "Have you ever tried farming sober?" LoL! Very true my fellow Georgians...Very true! Georgia has the right local climate to flourish from Hemp farming if it were legal. Agriculturally we would probably lose a few crops and a little bit of money starting it up. But look at the outcome over the time of growing. The revenue is tremendous and the stress of the slowing down economy could easily be boosted back to health. I don't understand why most of these old bitty's here in South Georgia who still believe in the "Reefer Madness". Me personally, I would love nothing more than be riding my tractor, smoking a joint and harvesting my God given crop. God created all things LIVING. So, ask yourself.....is a plant a living organism? Why yes it is! Marijuana dates as far back as 6,000 BC. Shoot the Germans are making houses out of hemp wood. Yes that's right, Hemp wood! And it is fire retardant. Look at how many natural resources could be saved if we implemented hemp into everyday life. Think of taxing and regulating Marijuana. Stricter laws on dealers etc etc. So what...think about the kids. Well, I hate to break it to you but the average 14 year old in high school has already tried marijuana there big britches. And if they haven't then good for them. But you can't use your kid as a blocking barrier to keep marijuana illegal. They're going to be just like you and me one day. Health problems, stress, depression the list of ailments could go on and on and on. And if they try to alleviate any of these symptoms with Marijuana and get incarcerated like I have been, then their future is pretty much fucked. So wouldn't you like for your son/daughter be able to have the almost perfect medicine that God created? Or some kind of medicine some scientist made in a petri dish that down the line will cause your child to die a horrible death due to liver failure or many other complications? This war on drugs has evidently never worked. Alcohol was prohibited and then bounced back. Why not end prohibition on something safer? Marijuana has not DIRECTLY killed anyone at ALL! Prescription pills on the otherhand. Man, that's a whole nother rant and rave. But yeah, you're catching my drift here? So in this down time of elections, do some background research on your Congressman or w/e and see what their views on Marijuana is. And if it's not up to your liking. Make yard signs stating not to re-elect that person. 1 voice is nothing, but 1,000,000 voices can be heard.

My opinions..

Ok to start off with opinions are like assholes, everybody has one and these are mine. Marijuana, economically a good bailout. If the gov't would tax&regulate marijuana there wouldn't be no states struggling to see where they will get money to pay their employees, some states wouldn't be cutting out state funded college assistance programs either. Come on guys. If I'm not mistaken Obama is 110% for education. So why is his home state of Illinois denying people education by taking away the money that they use to pay for books, supplies and tuition. What kind of country are we turning in to? Just take a look around. Go to your nearest alcohol supplying gas station or bodega every Friday. Take a look at how many people get off of work and buy beer. Now some of the same people who drink alcohol consume marijuana also. Let's say those people also buy 4 grams of whatever kind of strain they want, and price per gram is $25. There's $100 off of 1 person. Let's say there's an average of 20 people a day. There's $2,000 not including taxes. 6 days a week being how Georgia doesn't allow alcohol sales on Sunday. There's an average of $12,000! The math can go on and on and on. But i'm not going to annoy you(whoever is reading) with a bunch of numbers like we're sitting in a math class. But something needs to be done. Healthcare....why not legalize medical marijuana in the state of Georgia? I've contacted alot of representatives and haven't got even a "Thank you contacting me" email or anything. I am one of the people that marijuana does help medically. And also my wife. I was addicted to pain pills and xanax. I quit, went through the TERRIBLE physical withdrawals with marijuana holding my hand. Now, I hardly notice my back. The pain is not so severe and I can do everyday activities and be more productive. My wife on the other hand. She has Chron's disease. And if you have the time google Chron's disease and medical marijuana. It has helped her dramatically. But I guess being in the good ole' bible belt where some people's views on marijuana is just down-right for the devil and the crackheads you see walking around got there because of smoking marijuana. I know, I know comical isn't it? But hey, I know LOTS of middle-aged people who share that same view on the usage of marijuana. Maybe there wouldn't be so much law-enforcement corruption if we were to legalize marijuana? Maybe the sheriff's,mayor's, or other political figures in towns with under 100,000 population wouldn't make the extra money on the side? JUST LEGALIZE IT! Taxation and Regulation! Come on fight for a better tomorrow!!!
